Terms of use

Knot is invite-only. An account requires a valid invite code, and codes are not transferable once redeemed. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your API keys secret — a key is a bearer credential, and anyone holding it can spend your credit.

Revoke a compromised key immediately from the dashboard; revocation takes effect within seconds.

• Credit is granted by invite code and has no cash value. It is not purchased, cannot be redeemed for money, and is not refundable.
• Requests are metered per token and debited against your balance after each response. At a zero balance, further requests are refused with a 402.
• Because the true cost of a request is only known once the model has answered, a final request may take the balance slightly negative. That debit stands.
• Prices are shown on the model catalog and may change. Changes apply to requests made after the change, never retroactively.

Do not use Knot to:

• break the law, or infringe someone else’s rights
• generate content that the upstream provider’s policies prohibit — requests are subject to upstream content filtering regardless of what is written here
• resell, sublicense or proxy the service to third parties without agreement
• attempt to circumvent metering, credit limits, or another account’s isolation
• run load or penetration tests against the gateway without asking first — see the security page

Accounts may be disabled for any of the above. Where it is proportionate, you will be told why.

The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for any loss arising from its use — including lost output, lost credit, or downtime.

You keep all rights to what you send and what the models return. Knot claims no ownership over either and does not store request or response bodies — see the privacy notice.

These terms may be updated as the service changes. The date above is the last revision. Continuing to use Knot after a change means accepting it.
